Last week, the Sotek Engineering team headed to the NEC Birmingham for Advanced Engineering 2025, one of the UK’s leading events for manufacturing and engineering innovation. This annual showcase brings together thousands of professionals from across aerospace, automotive, composites, and advanced manufacturing sectors, making it a key date in the industry calendar.

The event was packed with cutting-edge technology, insightful talks, and opportunities to explore the future of engineering. We spent the day connecting with exhibitors, learning about the latest trends, and sharing knowledge with fellow professionals. It’s always inspiring to see how collaboration and technology are driving progress in our sector.

After a full day of discovery, we joined the ConeX Portal networking evening at Karaage – a fantastic event with a great mix of familiar faces and new connections. These informal gatherings are invaluable for building relationships and exchanging insights, and this one didn’t disappoint!

The next morning started with a hearty breakfast before heading back to Sotek HQ, full of fresh ideas and inspiration for the future. Events like Advanced Engineering remind us why innovation and collaboration are at the heart of everything we do.
